Inspired by the series of video games for PC Age of Empires (and after Age of Empires: Age of Kings for Nintendo DS), Age of Empires: Mythologies is a turn based strategy game in which you will be able to evolve a civilization through three different times, then using your strategy skills to make it become the hegemonic power of a world still in its infancy.
In Age of Empires: Mythologies, you play the hero and leader of one of three ancient civilizations in its infancy: the Greek, the Egyptian and Scandinavian. As commander, you will not only defeat the armies invincible, but you will also manage skillfully the economic and scientific progress to upgrade your army and make art.
As the subtitle suggests, "Mythologies," the old gods play a supporting role in the game, and it will be better for you to earn their support rather than have them as enemies. With the help of the gods, you can give something extra to your attacks and gain powerful special attacks that will put at your disposal the forces of nature: an earthquake, a lightning storm or a plague give something extra to your army , especially when your opponents will be the legendary monsters whose strength is well above that of a mere mortal.

Age of Empires: Mythologies has several multiplayer options, including the ability to play through the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Using the DS's wireless communication, up to four players, each with a Nintendo DS and its own board game, will fight for world domination on one of several maps and choose from many options and game settings. If the other players have one game card, they may still face a battle in multiplayer using the DS Download Play function and passing the console if they only have one DS.
